2017 Goals + Dreams
Happy New Year!
If you are reading this, I hope your first day has been filled with optimism and love. I am back from Florida, which means it is time to get back to work…in the cold. While visiting family, with a few raps of my pen and a handful of twizzlers from my mom’s unsupervised stash, I pondered What do I want to see in 2017.
I mean, I want this year to count. I don’t want to throw away my shot because due to lack of preparation.
The bulk of 2016 was centered on finding my voice and who I wanted to be. 2016 was the year of the foundation. 2017 is here, and I am ready to build, committing to three actions: create, meditate, and educate.
CREATE: This is a big one that encompasses many facets of my goals. I want to create and foster meaningful relationships with my clients that shine through in photographs. I want to create lasting heirlooms and memories that will be treasured for years to come. I want to create art the resonates with me.
MEDITATE: I am looking to create a space for me to slow down and just be. Too often, being still for a moment is a low priority, leading to more stress. Consistent me time will key to navigating 2017.
EDUCATE: Educating is in my blood, and it would be a disservice if I didn’t use my resources to educate my clients, especially my brides. In everything that I do, I want to make sure that I am instilling necessary knowledge to enhance not only their experience, but long-term livelihood. After all, I want my clients to not only have a beautiful wedding but a beautiful marriage as well.
Without further ado, here is part of my gameplan for 2017.
